Young Leicestershire Ltd has received £19,569.00 thanks to players of People’s Postcode Lottery.
The funding boost from Postcode Community Trust will enable Young Leicestershire Ltd to deliver four free Passport to Volunteering training courses and ongoing project support to community youth projects across Leicester and Leicestershire. This will provide a level one accreditation for up to 40 volunteers who wish to work in a youth work setting or are already doing so. We expect that 60 vulnerable young people living in deprived or rural areas will benefit from development of improved provision and support.
Alison Jolley CEO of Young Leicestershire said: “We are indebted to the players of People’s Postcode Lottery for this opportunity to widen our reach across the city and county and to provide much needed ongoing support for communities”.
